While this session targets Allied Health professionals it does not have a focus on discipline-specific supervision and intra-discipline skill development as outlined in the Allied Health Clinical Supervision framework. Rather, this training provides attendees with basic skills regarding both the components and holding of a supportive, reflective learning space. It allows them to leave the session ready to provide supervision.
Note: this training is not intended for the Lived Experience Workforce.
Please note, if you do register for this event and it is not clear you are part of the intended audience, your registration will be confirmed two weeks prior to the event start date, or earlier.
This one-day training event is an introduction-level package. If you are someone who is soon to commence or has just commenced providing supervision, or if you’ve been providing clinical supervision but have never attended any formal training on clinical supervision, this may be for you! This introductory package can help inform your practice and will look at:
What 'clinical supervision' in mental health is -
- The supervisor / supervisee relationship
- Ethical and legal issues
- Models of clinical supervision
- Processes and structures
We will also look at some underpinning skills for supervision including using a Solution-Focused lens and Cognitive Behavioural thinking. The session will include opportunities for guided practice.
